Sometimes, there’s nothing more romantic than a rainy day in New York City–glistening sidewalks, soft light that enriches the colorful streets, cozy interiors to take shelter. For Josh and Bec, it was the perfect backdrop for their wedding day. Having moved to New York from Melbourne a few years ago, they wanted to show their Aussie families what makes this city so special. Bec got ready at the Crosby Street Hotel, surrounded by prints that gave life to the gloomy sky outside, while Josh suited up at their apartment on the Upper West Side. After a traditional Jewish bedeken, they said their vows under the Chuppah at BLANK SPACE, a gallery in the heart of Soho. The celebrations continued at Don Angie, a Michelin star restaurant serving Italian-American fare in a breathtaking setting. After a dinner of delicious, family-style dishes and heartfelt speeches, the guests bade farewell to formalities, and danced their hearts out in the intimate space. It was an evening of overwhelming joy, and one I won’t forget for a long while.
