Brooklyn, NY Photo Studio Maternity Session

Maternity sessions are special because they are an opportunity to capture the beauty and strength of women. The way our bodies are able to grow and transform to sustain life is truly magnificent. When Chey and Adrian inquired, I was beyond excited. Cheyanna herself is a wildly talented photographer, so I was honored that she trusted me to document this season of their lives. We shot at FD Photo Studio–a space flooded with natural light and safe from the frigid winter temperatures outside. The way the sun reflected on Chey and Adrian’s gleaming faces complimented their glowing parent-to-be auras. With their pup, Poppy, in tow, we captured their little growing family. 

The photos at the end of the gallery were taken on 35mm film. One of my goals is to bring my film camera along more often–there’s something so tangible about the emotions captured on film photographs. Thank you to Chey + Adrian for allowing me to tell your story.
