For their engagement session, Molly and Clinton wanted to capture a glimpse into their lives in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. Over the summer, they moved into the most charming pre-war apartment and have spent the months since making it a home. Their space has so many quirky corners, and they did a beautiful job filling it with colorful rugs, mid-century modern furniture, and plants. So. many. plants. Molly owns her own boutique floral and event styling biz, Brownstone Botanical, so it only makes sense she has an eye for interiors. We wanted to find a way to tie in their love for flowers, so the day before our shoot Molly and Clinton went on a lil date to the flower market to make a custom bouquet.
I haven’t spent much time in Clinton Hill (I’m now obsessed), so Molly and Clint showed me around some of their favorite local spots–blooms and brownstones on Willoughby Avenue, and the cutest coffee shop called Guevara’s. There’s nothing I love more than exploring new corners of this sprawling city. Every neighborhood is so different from the next, each with their own beautiful streets, quaint small businesses, and adorable nooks. I can’t wait to capture Molly and Clint’s upstate wedding in a few months. These two are such kind, artistic souls, and I know it’s going to be a special one.
