Jared and Andrea met in their sophomore year of college when they were assigned as lab partners–to quote them, “we fell in love over the bunsen burner fire.” Thirteen years later, they decided to elope in New York City. On a beautiful spring afternoon, they said their vows on the balcony of their hotel room at The Wythe Hotel in Williamsburg. The wind was howling as they grasped hands and spoke their promises to one another. Afterward, we joyfully traipsed around the streets of Williamsburg. We stopped for a slice at Joe’s Pizza–an absolute necessity when eloping in NYC. Andrea’s family used to live above Joe’s growing up, which made it all the more sentimental. For sunset, we rode the ferry to DUMBO and relished in the enchanting views of the skyline. By the time we made it to Brooklyn Bridge Park, dusk had set in. The city was illuminated by thousands of little lights, casting hues of oranges and yellows in their wake.
